Travel Trade Group Terms and Conditions

General

  1. Group visits and the services of a meet and greet host are available only to pre-booked groups of 20 or more paying people visiting at the same date and time.

  2. Complimentary admission for one group organiser or one driver per group is available only to groups with 8 or more paying people.

  3. Tickets purchased for pre-booked groups cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

  4. Tickets purchased for pre-booked groups are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  5. Additional tickets may be purchased on the day of your visit up to the maximum available in your slot when offered. If you are unsure of Terms and Conditions, please email: groups@invernesscastle.scot.

  6. Tickets booked but not used by your group are non-refundable (e.g., due to no shows).

  7. Your booking will be confirmed when The Inverness Castle Experience Group Bookings Team has received your signed copy of the Terms and Conditions.

  8. The Inverness Castle Experience Group Bookings team will confirm your booking details within 7 calendar days of receiving your booking form.

  9. Amendments to your booking may be made up to 14 calendar days prior to your visit by contacting The Inverness Castle Experience Group Bookings team.

  10. Prior to your visit to The Inverness Castle Experience, you will be notified of arrival and departure times for your group.  If your group arrives before your allocated time, you will be asked to wait offsite until the scheduled arrival time. If your group arrives after your scheduled arrival time, you will be advised of alternative time slots, subject to availability.

  11. The Inverness Castle Experience provides a coach drop-off point for groups, located on Castle Street, Inverness. Once you have dropped off your group, you will be required to move on from the drop-off area and park your vehicle. We recommend Torvean Car Park, which operates on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

  12. Externally guided private tours are not permitted on site.

  13. Where possible, we will endeavour to accommodate tours arriving up to 15 minutes after the allocated arrival time. We reserve the right to refuse entry in the event of excessive lateness.

  14. Only assistance animals are allowed on site. No pets allowed.

  15. The Inverness Castle Experience reserves the right to refuse entry.

  16. The Inverness Castle Experience is a working site and as such short-notice closures and changes arising from activities on site may be experienced, including the temporary closure of exhibits. This may result in adjustments to your visit, including scheduled timings. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and we will endeavour to contact all visitors with as much notice as possible in such situations.

Cancellation

  1. Provisional bookings will be held for 7 calendar days, within which time we require a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions document to be returned. After this time, your provisional booking will be cancelled if we have not received your signed terms and conditions.  

  2. You may cancel your booking up to 14 calendar days prior to your visit without penalty. We ask that you confirm cancellations via email to groups@invernesscastle.scot.

  3. If you cancel your visit within 14 days of your booked visit, full payment will be required.

  4. If payment is made before the Terms and Conditions document has been signed and returned to The inverness Castle Experience Group Bookings team, we will accept payment as agreement of our Terms and Conditions, and the conditions stated in them will be honoured.

Payment

  1. An invoice will be issued for the numbers confirmed 14 days prior to your booking and will be issued on the day of your visit.

  2. All invoices must be paid no later than 30 calendar days after your visit.

  3. If the group number decreases after numbers confirmed, no refund will be given.
