Sustainability at The Inverness Castle Experience

Creating a Greener Future

At The Inverness Castle Experience, we’re committed to protecting our environment and supporting our community. From how we heat our buildings to the food and gifts we offer, sustainability is at the heart of what we do.

Getting Towards Net-Zero

Our shared Energy Centre, using air-source heat pumps, provides efficient, low-carbon heating to both the Inverness Castle Experience and the Inverness Town House.

Living Roof
Above The Saltire Bistro, our Living Roof is designed to bring nature into the heart of the city. It provides a thriving habitat for pollinators, supports biodiversity, and offers extra insulation for the building below.

Castle Gardens
The Castle Gardens have been carefully landscaped with native plants and trees to create a haven for local wildlife and encourage biodiversity across the city centre.
