The Inverness Castle Experience is a new attraction celebrating the spirit of the Highlands. Open year-round and located in Inverness, it’s the perfect place for your guests to begin their Highland experience. Travel trade groups bookings, depending on size, schedule and season, can be accommodated in different ways at The Inverness Castle Experience, both through exclusive access times and public opening times, details of which can be found on this page.
Groups of 20+
Groups of 20 or more can enjoy exclusive access to the experience during our early-access slots. A dedicated meet‑and‑greet host will welcome your group on arrival, ensuring you get off to a great start with all the essential information.
Depending on our opening times, the early access slots will either be from 9am to 9.40am or 8am to 8.40am.
Small groups of 8 and 20
Small groups are welcome to book into our public opening times at any time throughout the day. Please note that managing your group during these sessions, from arrival to departure, will be your responsibility on the day of your visit.
Guides accompanying their small groups during public opening hours are welcome to join their guests throughout the visit. During these times, their role is simply to accompany and support their experience, rather than deliver their own guided tour.

One free group leader for every trade group booking.
A refreshment voucher per booking
Access to The Inverness Castle Experience; including the exhibits, gardens, shop and bistro.
Complimentary wi-fi throughout the building
Smaller groups of 7 or under can be booked online here.
What to Expect at the Castle Experience
Groups are welcomed to The Inverness Castle Experience with timed entry, ensuring a smooth and comfortable visit. All visits are self-guided, with complimentary audio guides for the South Tower included with admission. A full visit typically takes around two hours, with refreshments available at The Saltire Bistro.
