On this page you will find information on the Terms and Conditions that apply to your visit to The Inverness Castle Experience and all associated tickets, events, experiences, packages, add-ons, and any other purchases made in connection with your visit.
Bookings, Tickets and Admission
Tickets are valid only for the date and time booked unless expressly agreed otherwise. More information here.
Tickets are non-transferable.
Refunds, exchanges and amendments are subject to The Inverness Castle Experience Booking Terms and Conditions.
In exceptional circumstances where The Inverness Castle Experience cancels a visit or is unable to provide the booked experience, visitors will be offered an alternative date.
Admission may be refused where tickets are invalid, altered, duplicated or reasonably suspected of being obtained fraudulently.
Closures, Disruptions and Force Majeure
The Inverness Castle Experience reserves the right to alter opening times, close areas of the attraction, amend exhibits or cancel events where reasonably necessary for operational, maintenance, safety, security or regulatory reasons.
We shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, interruptions or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, public health measures, utility failures, industrial disputes, acts of terrorism or other force majeure events.
Where disruption materially affects a pre-booked visit, we will seek to offer a suitable alternative where practicable.
Health, Safety and Accessibility
Visitors must comply with all safety notices and staff instructions.
Certain areas contain stairs, elevated viewpoints and uneven surfaces. Visitors should take reasonable care for their own safety and that of those in their care.
We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive visitor experience and will make reasonable adjustments where practicable.
Visitors with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us in advance of their visit.
Children and Safeguarding Clause
Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Schools, youth groups and organised visits remain responsible for appropriate supervision ratios throughout their visit.
Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to a member of staff.
Photography, Filming and Intellectual Property
Visitors may take photographs and videos for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise indicated.
Commercial photography, filming, recording, broadcasting or content creation for promotional purposes requires prior written permission.
All intellectual property rights relating to exhibitions, displays, branding and interpretation materials remain the property of The Inverness Castle Experience, High Life Highland or the relevant rights holder.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
Subject to this, The Inverness Castle Experience shall not be liable for:
loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence;
indirect or consequential loss;
losses arising from visitor failure to follow safety instructions or these Terms and Conditions.
Visitors enter the site at their own risk and are responsible for their personal property.
Data Protection
Personal information provided during booking or enquiries will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Refund Discretion Clause
Where a visitor is required to leave due to a breach of these Terms and Conditions, no refund will be payable. Any exceptional refund request will be considered in accordance with our published refund policy and the circumstances of the individual case.
Complaints Procedure
We aim to provide an excellent visitor experience. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your visit, please raise concerns with a member of staff at the time wherever possible.
