Stories to Savour

Our menu brings local stories to life, with dishes inspired by Highland folklore like kelpies and river spirits. Served with a hand-crafted cocktail, it’s a unique afternoon tea that blends great flavours with a sense of place.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a handcrafted cocktail to enjoy while we prepare your luxury afternoon tea.

Chapter 1 is a savoury course inspired by Highland heritage and the land itself.
Chapter 2 is an indulgent sweet course, filled with enchantment and ancient magic.
The Finale is our take on the classic scone, served with Scottish preserves and clotted cream.

It’s more than afternoon tea — it’s a celebration of Highland heritage in the heart of Inverness.

We’re not able to cater for specific individual dietary requirements at this time, but we do offer gluten-free and vegan alternatives.

Testimonial

  • “The afternoon tea at the Inverness Castle was a truly lovely experience. The room is stunning, the food was beautifully presented and delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. The story Spirit of the Highlands is woven into the experience, with each item on the cake stand carrying its own meaning, the gentleman who served us took the time to explain the story behind every piece, which made it even more special. There is also a great range of teas and coffee, and the experience includes a mocktail or cocktail. This experience is definitely worth spending your money on. A perfect way to spend an afternoon. I’d highly recommend it.”
