Do I need to book in advance or can I walk in?

We do not take bookings for The Saltire Bistro. Afternoon tea, served in The North Tower Bar, is only available when booked 3 days in advance. Book your Afternoon Tea online.

Is there parking available nearby?

We only have a small number of spaces for accessible parking and these must be pre-booked. No other parking is available on site.

Do you offer takeaway or delivery services?

We will be able to serve takeaway beverages and some take away food. Our concession outside the Bistro will serve only takeaway food and drinks.

Are pets allowed in The Saltire Bistro and North Tower Bar?

No pets, other than assistance dogs, are allowed anywhere inside The Inverness Castle Experience.

What payment types do you offer?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash.

Can I leave a gratuity?

As a charitable organisation, we are unable to accept gratuities, however in lieu of this, you can make a donation to the charity.

Do you offer vegetarian or vegan breakfast options?

Yes, we cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.

Do you cater for dietary restrictions?

Yes, we cater for dairy and gluten free diets.

Is there a set lunch menu or daily specials?

We do not offer a set price lunch menu, however there will be specials from time to time.

Do you offer group bookings for lunch?

No, regrettably we are unable to offer bookings for groups or individuals.

Do I need to book afternoon tea in advance?

Yes, a minimum 3 days and pre-booking is required for afternoon tea.

What is included in your afternoon tea service?

The menu price includes a welcome cocktail, hot beverage and all food items.

What drinks are available at the bar?

We offer both draft and bottled/canned beers (alcohol free is also available), a range of predominantly Scottish spirits, cocktails and a wide range of Scottish made soft drinks.

Do you serve non-alcoholic and mocktail options?

Yes, we have alcohol free beer, cider and a wide range of soft drinks.

Can I reserve a table at the bar for a group?

We are unable to reserve tables for drinks unfortunately.

Can I book The Saltire Bistro and North Tower Bar for a private event?

Please contact our events team for details of what might be available in terms of spaces, menus and pricing options.

Do you offer catering for external events?

No, at this stage we are unable to offer outside catering.

Is The Saltire Bistro and North Tower Bar wheelchair accessible?

Yes, they are both accessible by wheelchair.
