The Inverness Castle Experience is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Can I bring a pram into the Experience?
Yes, prams are allowed in the Castle Experience.
Is seating available in the Experience?
There is seating in several rooms within the Experience, including during the timed shows.
There is also seating in the North Tower.
Is there any accessible parking?
There are four accessible parking spaces on site for Blue Badge holders.
These must be pre‑booked on our website prior to your visit.
Are assistance dogs allowed in the castle?
Yes, assistance dogs are allowed within The Inverness Castle Experience.
Will there be flashing lights during the experience?
Yes, flashing lights are used in the South Tower Experience.
If you’d prefer to avoid them, please let our Visitor Experience Team know when you arrive.
Do you offer anything to help guests with sensory sensitivities?
Yes. We provide sensory packs that include ear defenders, sunglasses, and fidget toys.
Just ask a member of our team on arrival.
Can I bring my own food and are there places to eat it on-site?
Your own food is not permitted in the Saltire Bistro, but you are welcome to eat a picnic in the Gardens.
Do you offer foreign language guides?
Yes. The Experience is audio‑guide led, with nine language options: Gaelic, English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, Mandarin and Japanese.

Are there toilet facilities on-site?
There are toilets available on the ground and first floors of both the South Tower and North Tower.
Accessible toilets are available on each floor.
Are there any changing places toilets?
Yes. There is a Changing Places toilet next to the Bistro.
Please ask a member of staff for directions if needed.
Are there any baby changing rooms?
Yes. There is a baby changing room next to the Bistro.
Please ask a member of staff for directions if needed.
Is there a lost and found in the castle?
