Bringing Highland Stories to Life

Join us at The Inverness Castle Experience Shop on Friday 14 August at 11 am for a reading followed by a book signing with Highland children's author and illustrator Phoebe Roze.

Phoebe's colourful and joyful artwork celebrates the landscapes, wildlife and stories of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Inspired by the places where she grew up, her illustrations combine atmospheric scenery with expressive characters and wild beasties, creating enchanting stories for young readers.

An avid explorer of the Highlands and Islands, Phoebe draws inspiration from her adventures hiking, cycling and sailing, always with a sketchbook and camera close at hand. Her work beautifully reflects the themes of place, heritage and storytelling that are at the heart of The Inverness Castle Experience.

During this family-friendly event, Phoebe will share stories from her debut children's picture book, Our Islands, followed by an opportunity to meet the author and have books signed.

Our Islands, published by Post Wave, together with a selection of Phoebe Roze prints and cards, will be available to buy on the day.
