Stories from Castle Hill: The Highlands at work

Innovation and industry: the Highlands at work. Join Highland Archive Service Community Engagement Officer Lorna Steele-McGinn for a series of illustrated history talks focusing on both the everyday and the seismic events which have shaped the story and the image of Inverness and the wider Highlands.

Highland landscapes and coastlines have provided the region with a wealth of opportunity for diverse and pioneering industries. Stories will include the flawless work on P.L.U.T.O. (the WWII pipeline under the ocean) and the backbreaking work of the herring girls.

Tea, coffee and a scone are included.

Please note: Your event ticket does not include access to the main Experience.
