Stories from Castle Hill: Clearances, emigration, and the Highland Diaspora

Clearances, emigration, and the Highland Diaspora. Join Highland Archive Service Community Engagement Officer Lorna Steele-McGinn for a series of illustrated history talks focusing on both the everyday and the seismic events which have shaped the story and the image of Inverness and the wider Highlands.

Few things have shaped the Highlands more than the movement of people, both forced and voluntary. Using archive material from across the Highlands and Islands, discover the impact of the Highland Clearances and the legacy of the thousands who left these shores.

Tea, coffee and a scone are included.

Please note: Your event ticket does not include access to the main Experience.
