Get ready for an extraordinary journey through the Highlands’ unique landscape, heritage, culture and people at The Inverness Castle Experience, which is set to open later this year. This world-class experience will draw visitors from local areas, across the UK and internationally, serving as a gateway to the Highlands with interactive and immersive experiences.
This groundbreaking Experience will transform Inverness Castle into an interactive celebration of the Highland spirit. Visitors will be guided by a Seanchaidh (Gaelic for storyteller) as they explore immersive exhibits that bring Highland stories to life, with tales crowdsourced from across the region.

Exciting opportunities will be available below as we prepare for the opening of The Inverness Castle Experience later this year! We’ll be recruiting for various roles across visitor services, retail, food and beverage (both front-of-house and kitchen) and maintenance.
Current vacancies
Caretakers - We are seeking up to four reliable and proactive individuals to join our team as Caretakers at The Inverness Castle Experience. This vital role ensures the smooth day-to-day operation, safety, cleanliness and overall presentation of the site. Responsibilities include carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance, conducting regular building safety checks and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across both public and staff areas. We offer a variety of permanent, full-time, part-time and relief positions, with working hours between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. Hourly rate: £13.64 – £14.02. Closing date 21/09/2025
Visitor Experience Assistants (Food & Beverage) - Join The Inverness Castle Experience and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Whether you're serving in the Bistro or Bar, you'll play a key role in delivering a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
You'll be at the heart of hospitality, providing outstanding customer service, upholding high standards across all public areas and ensuring every visit is smooth, safe and inspiring. From offering a friendly smile to sharing your knowledge of the Highlands, your contribution will help bring the flavours of the region to life.
We offer full training and flexible contracts, making this a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for people and place with visitors from near and far. Hourly rate of £13.64. No closing date – ongoing recruitment.
